Spring has sprung as it does around here. Spring flowers have popped up as fast as the temperature.
What was all green during winter is now covered with multicolored buds, weeds and shrubs.
Winter was very nice this year, i.e. warm and sunny. We've had our 'rainy' season, about 2 weeks of showers here and there. Now it's also warm and sunny, just with more of each. As for rain, it's only something we hope for.
On a south facing wall we reach 30-35 Celsius, while on the north facing wall it will be 20-25. So it's just a question of selecting a comfort zone according to the time of day.
During winter we only have lunch outside. Now at days we have breakfast and lunch. It's still a bit chilly to eat dinner outside because when the sun goes down it takes everything with it. We did have bbq already, but we eat inside still.
It should not be long though that the heat will outlast the sun and our thirst will outlast the glass. By then it doesn't matter if you are inside or outside, it's hot.
And that's the way we like it. So might as well enjoy the starlit skies and southern winds
This all happens during the 'low season', so we also had time to go out a discover new spots, restaurants, beaches, views. And some places we go back to, over and over again.
Life is nice in the Algarve.
In the meantime we also enjoyed a very heartwarming spring in the number of Project Bom Dia followers. We are near 500, thank you very much! We look forward to the upcoming core season.
