So, as I left off in my last update, the plan was to describe a little bit about our experience renovating in Portugal in the next update.
Well this is literately going to be it. This is how to best summarize the experience: We have a change of plans, and we will do it another time :-)

So, instead, this update will be about us getting to brag a little bit. Not something we do often, but then this is not something we've received often either. It is immensely gratifying for us to receive this award from Booking,com. The award is a testament to the constant stream of highly positive reviews our booking.com guests have made. This is all the more relevant to us as Booking is our biggest business channel. These clients are not from our immediate social circles, they found us on Booking. And collectively over 2018 they rate us a superb 9.4/10. We even got quite a few 10/10 perfect scores. We got a couple sour notes that drag our average quite heavily. So we also know we can easily get even better!
We're really not the type to brag out loud but this means a lot to us. This is what we do. It means a lot because we work hard to make it happen. Sylvie and I have been totally focused on delivering a high quality experience with a focus on detail, value and comfort. It's beyond just rentals. It's not about making a living, just. It's about living happy. This is what we do, and this is why we do it.
So thank you. Thank you everyone. Everywhere. Indeed we have fantastic guest comments and ratings on all platforms including our own website. On Google we have 4.4 stars out of 5, also with a majority of very high to perfect scores and only a couple heavy stones. All this positive feedback is good for our hearts and souls. We do have doubts some days. But let me tell you, the light in Sylvie's smile as she read the message from Booking.com announcing our award, that made my day. And that's when I decided this is worth bragging about ;-)
